Powerball is a double-drum game, where the main numbers are drawn from one drum containing balls from 1 through to 69, and the other containing the Powerballs from 1 to 26. Each slip must contain five balls from the main set of numbers, as well as one Powerball. All six numbers must be matched in order to collect the multi-million-dollar jackpot.

The live Powerball draws are made every Wednesday and Saturday at 22:59pm EST.

Powerball made the headlines in February as its jackpot rolled to a world-record-shattering $1.58 BILLION, which was eventually shared between winners from California, Florida and Tennessee. Place your bets with LottoGo and who knows - you could be the next big winner!

Where to Watch the Draws

The Powerball draws take place at the Florida Lottery's studio in Tallahassee. For those with access to US television stations, you'll be able to watch the live draw on TV. Alternatively, you can wait for the results to be published officially online or follow social media to find out the lucky numbers.

The Draw

Powerball uses a machine called the Halogen to randomly select the winning numbers. There are four of these machines in total, although only two are ever used per draw. The first machine selects five white balls numbered between 1 and 59, and the second releases one red Powerball between 1 and 35. The machines operate using a turntable that mixes the numbered balls, before selecting one at random and onto the display rail.
